Arsenal legend and Belgium assistant coach Thierry Henry is said to be appoimted the new head coach of his boyhood team AS monaco, after the club sacking of Leonardo Jardim.

Jardim led the french side to the Ligue 1 title and Champions League semifinals in 2016-17 with the youngest team which consists of youngstars Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy leave that summer.. Yet he was still able to finish the campaign as runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain.
However following a bad start to the 2018/2019 season with monaco having lost five games in nine Jardim has been sacked.

“I am grateful and proud to have been able to manage Monaco for over four years,” Jardim said. “I have always given my best and worked with passion.

“We have won enjoyed great victories together and I will always keep those memories with me.”

Thierry Henry had turned down the opportunity to manage Aston Villa after being approached by Monaco over an emotional return to the club which he started his carrier.
