Maison Margiela‘s iconic Tabi Boot was released in 1988, and is still one of the fashion house’s most iconic pieces to date.
The shoe was designed as a re-interpretation of the traditional Japanese split-toe sock, and has been a recurring model throughout the seasons ever since it was first revealed 30 years ago. Now, the shoe has been re-interpreted into a sleek sock-inspired sneaker, sporting the split toe design as well as a coat of paint in true Margiela fashion.
Retailing at $1,375 USD, the shoes arrive in a white hue, are eye-catching and edgy, and definitely worth the investment because of the historic value of the iconic Tabi silhouette.
