Jay Z and Timbaland have been under pressure. They recently appeared in court after being sued by the family of an Egyptian composer, Baligh Hamdi.
Report has it that Hova and Timbaland used Baligh’s snippet on their track titled ‘Big Pimpin’.
After the first day of the trial, Hova was asked what he does for a living.
“I make music, I’m a rapper, I’ve got a clothing line, I run a label, a media label called Roc Nation, with a sports agency, music publishing and management. Restaurants and nightclubs.” he listed off. “I think that about covers it.”
Jay’s attorney, Andrew Bart asked his client whether he still run a music streaming service.
“Yeah, yeah. Forgot about that,” Jay Z said in correcting himself.
