Despite having his recent Spotify streaming record broken by Post Malone, J. Cole can now celebrate his new ‘K.O.D’ achievement. Debuting at the number one spot, Cole’s latest album earned 397,000 equivalent album units to end last week, according to Nielsen Music. Additionally, K.O.D received the biggest opening week for a rap artist since the release of Kendrick Lamar’s D.A.M.N. late last year. While J.Cole’s album sits at the top of the chart now, there is a strong chance that it could be dethroned very soon by Post Malone’s ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’, which has received an unprecedented amount of positive responses since its release.
