Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock is set to hit your cinema screens soon with a new DC movie, ‘Black Adam’. ‘Black Adam’ has reportedly been in the works for quite a number of years, with The Rock taking up the role of ‘Black Adam’ and it’s being produced by his production company Seven Bucks and producer Hiram Garcia.

A lot of viewers are particularly not familiar with the story of ‘Black Adam’. Black Adam was a slave in Kahndaq 5,000 years ago. In the comics, he originally went by the name Teth-Adam. The unique character is also known as being a supervillain in DC Comics, particularly as Shazam’s arch-nemesis, but his role in the ‘Black Adam’ movie seems to be more complicated.

‘Black Adam’ would also feature members from the Justice Society of America, including Cyclone, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Hawkman. For those unaware, JSA is a group that came into existence before the Justice League.

Unlike the regular superheroes, Black Adam doesn’t believe in treating his enemies with remorse or kindness. “He is a ruthless keeper of justice,” Johnson added. “He is the judge, the jury, and the executioner. He believes in an eye for an eye and he will always do everything he can to protect his people, more so, protect his family.”

The release date for ‘Black Adam’ is currently set at December 21, 2021, while we don’t know too much about the movie, it’s definitely one to look forward to.
