British singer, Adele, in a recent interview revealed that she spent the whole day crying after her sound issues at the Grammy Awards when a microphone fell onto the piano strings.
Adele opened up about the issue on The Elle DeGeneres Show which will air later today, Feb. 18, 2016.
“Sound check was great. Went really well,” Adele told DeGeneres. “I was really excited, and then during the changeover, the microphones fell onto the piano strings which is what the guitar noise was,”
The singer further revealed she realized at once what the issue was but didn’t turn around to fish out the microphone. ‘I froze’ she said, adding that the fact that her singing sounded out of tune didn’t bother her.
According to her waking up to find out everyone was still talking about it left her so embarrassed even though she had explained in an earlier tweet what happened.
“I cried pretty much all day,” she further revealed. “I kept like spontaneously bursting into tears yesterday. But it was alright. I was fine.”
